Second Chance transforms lives. We provide a fee-based vocational, job and life skill program previously unavailable to people in recovery in Palm Beach County. Second Chance also offers another program designed for individuals just leaving treatment and entering into a halfway house to jump start their new life in recovery.

Second Chance believes that every individual who is truly serious about their recovery deserves a second chance to reconnect to the community, and improve their lives. A transformation from a life once lost to drugs and alcohol is possible when a recovering individual has Second Chance’s resources at their disposal.

Second Chance’s two innovative action-oriented programs are offered in a safe, nurturing environment:

The Jump Start Program

A two week program designed for individuals in their first weeks in a halfway house who seriously want to get a jump start on their new life in early recovery . . . helping them to get connected, to get organized, and get ideas on how to get hired. » Read more

The Pathfinder Program

A comprehensive six week program providing you critical vocational and / or educational direction from licensed vocational counselors, combined with powerful job and life skill workshops from individuals with significant long-term recovery. You gain a clear and actionable understanding of your occupational interests, abilities, work values, and possible educational requirements to move forward in achieving a life of long term sobriety. » Read more

Programs are held at our beautiful Delray Beach facility, and each program is limited in terms of the number of participants.

Second Chance’s licensed Vocational Counselors have 20+ years of experience, and use both evidence- and research-based assessments and transferable skills analysis to assist individuals in a directed, action oriented self-discovery process.

Second Chance’s life, job skill and recovery instructors don’t just “talk the talk,” but “walk the talk.” For example, instructors on getting organized, budgeting and credit are bank officers. The job skill instructors were senior management individuals involved in hiring many people at large companies. Instructors on getting connected in early recovery have double digit recovery plus the academic credentials required. Each instructor will leave a lasting impression on you, and are also available for individual consultation outside of the programs.
