Our Mission & Vision
Second Chance, a non profit service organization, was established in late 2009 to address the need for long-term vocational and life skill services for alcoholics and addicts who are serious about achieving long term sobriety. The Palm Beach County area has one of the highest concentrations of Treatment Centers, Halfway Houses, and Therapists in United States. And yet there is a lack of comprehensive vocational and life skill programs in the area.
Several grants have already been received, and we continually work to secure other grants and funding including in kind donations. Our Delray Beach facility on George Bush Blvd. was secured in September 2010, and Programs were launched in January 2011.
Our Vision
We envision a future where the Palm Beach County Community embraces and supports individuals in recovery so they can find renewed meaning and purpose for their lives while becoming responsible contributing members of society.
Our Mission
To provide individuals in recovery a second chance to reconnect to the community and improve their lives by teaching life- and job-readiness skills, or provide direction towards further education to achieve their goals.
Our Core Values
- Integrity: We “walk our talk” and keep our promises. We trust others and are honest, open, and respectful in our dealings with them.
- Grace: We are thoughtful and respectful of others, humbly appreciating them, and valuing the unique gifts they offer.
- Inspiring: We awaken and uplift others by encouraging their creativity, supporting their transformation, and celebrating their successes.
